And miraculously, somehow I made it halfway across the world to China.
This is my real-time blog about my relationship with the city of Shanghai. All the pictures are first hand, as is the terrible grammar, spelling errors and incessant bitching.

Day One consisted of overcoming jet lag, culture shock, finding food (which is harder than you think), finding water (even harder than food) and getting adjusted to living in a dorm again...
We only have one mini fridge and a microwave between eight girls, and no kitchen anywhere in the building so storing food is out of the question. No one, not even the locals drink the tap water so buying gallons (liters) is a must!
It's odd but strangely rewarding to have to go out and forage for food. I'm hungry a lot and not necessarily well hydrated, but we'll see how this goes!
